Statement of Work
Ref: 2026-001 • Standard Business Template
Scope of Work
The Service Provider agrees to deliver the specific, standardized package defined in the order summary. Because this is a productized service with fixed pricing, the scope is strictly limited to the deliverables explicitly enumerated in the package description. Any additional requests, custom features, or revisions outside the included scope will require a separate purchase order and payment link.
Upfront Payment
Full payment of 100% of the agreed package price is required prior to project kickoff, calendar allocation, or work commencement. Payments are processed securely via MicroFreelanceHub integrated payment links. Production timelines and guaranteed delivery dates begin only after both full payment has cleared and all required client intake materials have been submitted.
Client Review
Upon initial completion of the deliverable, the Client will receive a formal notification and access link to review the work. The Client is entitled to the specific number of revision rounds outlined in the original package scope. Revisions must align strictly with original package parameters and cannot introduce new functional requirements.
Approval Deadlines
The Client has five (5) business days from the date of deliverable submission to review the assets and submit consolidated, written feedback. If no feedback or request for revision is received within this window, the deliverable will be deemed automatically approved, finalized, and accepted in full by the Client.
Delivery Conditions
Final high-resolution files, strategy documents, or live implementations will be released only after all project conditions, client approvals, and payment obligations are fulfilled. MicroFreelanceHub records delivery timestamps and asset access logs to maintain verifiable proof of service fulfillment.
Refund Limits
All upfront payments are strictly non-refundable once work has commenced or intake materials have been reviewed by the Service Provider. Because production slots are reserved exclusively for the Client upon payment, fees compensate the Service Provider for dedicated schedule allocation and initial setup effort.
Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement prior to project kickoff with written notice. If the Client terminates after project kickoff or fails to provide required intake assets within fourteen (14) days, the project will be marked complete, and all upfront payments will be retained as liquidated damages for lost scheduling opportunities.
Scope Creep Disguised as Revisions
Clients treating fixed-scope productized packages like open-ended custom agency retainers without paying extra.
Intake Delays Freezing Production Calendars
Clients paying upfront but stalling on required intake materials, leaving dedicated production slots empty.
Unjustified Post-Delivery Chargebacks
Clients downloading digital assets and filing payment disputes claiming the service was incomplete or not as described.
What is a Productized Service Provider Upfront Payment Contract?
A productized service provider upfront payment contract is a legally binding agreement requiring 100% payment before work begins. It defines rigid scopes, strict client feedback timelines, non-refundable deposit terms, and chargeback protections, ensuring standardized service delivery without revenue risk or custom scope creep.
Built from real freelance projects
This template is based on real-world scenarios across freelance projects where unclear scope, missing payment terms, and revision creep led to lost revenue. It helps clarify your time, define expectations, and make payment steps easier to manage.
Why Productized Service Providers need a clear upfront payment contract
Productized service providers sell fixed-scope, repeatable deliverables at a set price. Because pricing is streamlined and tight, profit margins depend entirely on operational efficiency and zero payment chasing. Accepting partial payments or working post-delivery destroys the economic model of a productized service. Without a dedicated upfront payment contract, clients often request custom scope additions, delay critical input assets, or trigger fraudulent credit card chargebacks after receiving standardized files. Securing full payment upfront via an integrated workflow that ties explicit sign-offs, intake forms, and formal contract execution together ensures you maintain absolute control over your calendar and cash flow. MicroFreelanceHub protects productized freelancers by rendering payment non-refundable once production kicks off, establishing hard client response deadlines, and converting completed deliverables into documented digital approvals before final file access is granted.
Real-world scenario
A UX designer selling a '2-Day Landing Page Audit' for $1,500 collected 100% payment upfront via MicroFreelanceHub alongside contract signing. The agreement stated that work would commence only after the intake questionnaire was completed and that feedback was due within 48 hours of video delivery. The designer delivered the comprehensive audit on time, but the client went silent for three weeks before demanding a full refund and threatening a credit card chargeback, claiming the feedback was late. Because the contract explicitly defined non-refundable upfront payment terms, auto-approval triggers after 48 hours of client inactivity, and structured audit logs of deliverable access, the provider successfully defeated the chargeback. MicroFreelanceHub’s unified audit trail proved full performance and clear agreement to non-refundable delivery terms, ensuring the freelancer retained their hard-earned $1,500.
