Statement of Work

Ref: 2026-001 • Standard Business Template

Content Deliverables

The Contractor agrees to produce and configure email marketing content specifically tailored for implementation within the Client’s Klaviyo account. Deliverables comprise written email copy (including subject lines, preview text, body text, button copy, and alt text), visual template layouts, and conditional logic copy blocks for automated flows and broadcast campaigns as outlined in the Statement of Work.

Deliverables are provided to the Client via live preview links, test emails, or external proofing documents prior to account-wide integration or flow activation.

Review Process

Upon notification of completed content proofs, the Client shall have five (5) business days to review all email copy, preview links, design rendering, discount codes, and link destinations. The Client must provide consolidated feedback or formal sign-off using the Contractor’s MicroFreelanceHub approval interface.

Failure to provide feedback or formal written rejection within the five (5) business day review window shall constitute full legal acceptance of the content as delivered.

Acceptance Criteria

Content shall be deemed officially accepted upon the occurrence of either of the following events:

  • The Client submits a digital approval verification or electronic signature through the MicroFreelanceHub portal.
  • The Client requests, authorizes, or performs the activation of any Klaviyo flow to 'Live' status or schedules a campaign send containing the delivered content.

Acceptance confirms that all spelling, grammar, tone, product offers, legal disclaimers, and tracking parameters are verified and approved by the Client.

Revision Limits

This contract includes up to two (2) rounds of minor copy and layout revisions per email deliverable, provided that requested revisions align with the original project brief. A revision round consists of a single consolidated set of written feedback submitted by the Client.

Revisions do not include complete strategic re-writes, brand tone repositioning, or fundamental changes to promotional offers previously agreed upon. Additional revision rounds will be billed at the Contractor’s standard rate of $125 per hour and will extend project timelines accordingly.

Final Payment

Formal content approval or activation of content within Klaviyo triggers the immediate release of the final milestone invoice. The Client agrees to pay all outstanding balances via the embedded MicroFreelanceHub payment link prior to the Contractor toggling flows to 'Live' status or releasing admin handoff documentation.

Payments made through payment links integrated in the contract workflow are final and non-refundable upon content sign-off.

Post-Approval Changes

Any modifications, content updates, dynamic tag re-configurations, or copy edits requested after formal acceptance or live deployment are categorized as Post-Approval Changes. These changes are not covered under the original contract price and require a signed change order and separate payment link authorization prior to execution.

What is a Klaviyo Specialist Content Approval Contract?

A Klaviyo Specialist Content Approval Contract is a binding agreement securing client sign-off on email copy, designs, and flow setups before deployment. It protects freelancers by enforcing strict revision limits, establishing clear written approval milestones, and linking sign-offs directly to final invoice payments before campaigns or flows go live.

Built from real freelance projects

This template is based on real-world scenarios across freelance projects where unclear scope, missing payment terms, and revision creep led to lost revenue. It is designed to protect your time, define expectations, and ensure you get paid.

Why Klaviyo Specialists need a clear content approval contract

Klaviyo specialists face unique risks when writing copy, designing email templates, and setting up automated flows. Once an email sequence is pushed to live status inside a client’s account, it immediately interacts with real customers and revenue streams. Without a formal content approval contract, clients often request last-minute copy overhauls after emails have already sent, or withhold final payments due to sudden branding changes. MicroFreelanceHub solves this by embedding approval records directly alongside deposit collection and final payment links. Requiring explicit written sign-off on copy documents, inbox previews, and liquid tag setups before live account deployment ensures that work is locked, approved, and paid for. This protects your time, establishes clear boundaries around revision rounds, and creates an audit trail that prevents post-launch disputes over campaign copy, discount codes, or design layouts.

Real-world scenario

A freelance email strategist developed a seven-part core flow system inside a client's Klaviyo account, including customized copy, product recommendations, and custom design blocks. The client gave verbal approval during a Zoom call, prompting the freelancer to toggle all flows to 'Live'. Three days later, after 4,000 subscribers received the emails, the client’s CMO claimed the tone of voice did not align with their brand and refused to release the remaining $2,500 milestone balance. Because the freelancer used MicroFreelanceHub’s Klaviyo Content Approval Contract, they had a timestamped digital sign-off confirming that the copy and preview links were formally accepted prior to launch. The contract terms explicitly stated that live deployment constitutes full acceptance and triggers immediate final payment. Using the platform’s integrated payment link, the specialist successfully collected the final balance without uncompensated re-writes or lengthy legal disputes.

Best practices for Klaviyo Specialists

Lock Copy and Layouts Before Building in Klaviyo

Require formal written sign-off on Google Docs or Figma wireframes before building drag-and-drop templates inside the Klaviyo account.

Gate Live Deployment Behind Final Milestone Payment

Keep all flows in 'Draft' or 'Manual' mode and withhold campaign scheduling until the client completes approval and clears the final payment link.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if a client requests content edits after approving the Klaviyo email proof?

Once formal written approval is logged in MicroFreelanceHub, any subsequent edit requests fall outside the contract scope. Post-approval changes require a new scope addendum or are billed at the specialist's hourly rate before updates are applied.

Can I withhold turning Klaviyo flows live if the client signs off on copy but fails to pay the final invoice?

Yes. The contract explicitly states that final approval triggers the final payment milestone, and live account deployment is strictly contingent upon payment clearance through your MicroFreelanceHub payment link.
