Statement of Work

HubSpot Consultant Change Request Payment Agreement
This Change Request Payment Agreement ("Agreement") amends the active Master Services Agreement or Statement of Work ("Original Contract") between the undersigned Consultant and Client for HubSpot portal strategy, technical configuration, or optimization services.
Original Scope
The baseline services, portal configurations, deliverables, and project schedules currently authorized are defined in the existing Statement of Work. Any work described in this Change Request falls outside that baseline and constitutes additional technical services.
Requested Change
The Client requests the following specific additions or modifications to their HubSpot account environment:
- Modification or creation of custom properties, lifecycle triggers, or custom object schemas.
- Development of additional automated workflows, lead scoring rules, or sequence structures across Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, or Service Hub.
- Custom API integrations, third-party app connections, or webhook endpoints.
- Additional data cleansing, legacy record migrations, or complex report dashboard builds not covered in the original scope.
Added Fees
To implement the requested additions, the following fixed fee or hourly rate structure applies:
- Additional Configuration Fee: As calculated and detailed in this request summary.
- Applicable Third-Party Costs: Client remains directly responsible for any incremental HubSpot tier upgrades or API middleware user fees required to support this scope.
Payment Due Before Work
Full payment for this Change Request must be remitted upfront before any technical work, sandbox testing, or portal modifications begin. The Client will fulfill this payment via the secure MicroFreelanceHub payment link supplied alongside this document. Work on these requested modifications is strictly paused until payment authorization is confirmed.
Schedule Impact
Incorporating new deliverables into a live or sandbox HubSpot environment alters initial project timelines. Execution of this agreement hereby extends all baseline launch dates, audit review sessions, and milestone completion deadlines by a minimum of five (5) business days, or as expressly stated in the updated timeline schedule below.
Approval
By executing this agreement via digital signature and completing the associated payment link, the Client formally authorizes the expanded scope, agrees to the modified project schedule, and accepts the non-refundable fee structure for the additional HubSpot deliverables.
Delivery Conditions
All modified assets, custom properties, and automated workflows developed under this Change Request are subject to the acceptance criteria and intellectual property transfer conditions set forth in the Original Contract once full payment for both the original scope and this amendment has been settled.
Cascading Automation Failures
Adding custom properties or altering lifecycle stage triggers mid-stream can break downstream Marketing Hub sequences or Sales Hub tasks, requiring unpaid diagnostic work unless scoped under a paid change request.
Unforeseen Custom Object & API Limits
Building custom objects or third-party webhooks often triggers HubSpot tier limits or external middleware costs that must be explicitly acknowledged and funded by the client before setup.
Blocked Go-Live Milestones
Unscoped additions delay core delivery dates, which can stall milestone payments on the original contract if schedule adjustments are not legally tied to the change request.
What is a HubSpot Consultant Change Request Payment Agreement?
A HubSpot Consultant Change Request Payment Agreement is a legal contract modifying an existing project scope. It documents extra CRM workflows, custom objects, or migrations, outlines added fees and adjusted launch schedules, and requires signed approval with upfront payment via a payment link before technical implementation begins.
Built from real freelance projects
This template is based on real-world scenarios across freelance projects where unclear scope, missing payment terms, and revision creep led to lost revenue. It is designed to protect your time, define expectations, and ensure you get paid.
Why HubSpot Consultants need a clear change request payment agreement
HubSpot implementations carry high technical complexity where small client requests—such as adding a custom object, building additional lead-scoring properties, or syncing legacy CRM fields—can quickly destroy your profit margins. Without a binding change request agreement, consultants routinely absorb dozens of hours of unbilled technical work under the guise of general setup support. Enforcing a dedicated Change Request Payment Agreement transforms informal client requests into paid project expansions. It establishes clear boundaries by requiring written client sign-off, explicitly adjusting the go-live target date, and demanding payment settlement via payment link prior to sandbox execution. This protocol provides robust payment protection, keeps your technical scope aligned with compensation, and prevents scope creep from derailing project timelines. By using MicroFreelanceHub to bundle approval, contract terms, and payment links into one seamless step, HubSpot consultants guarantee that every additional workflow or API modification is properly valued and paid before work starts.
Real-world scenario
A freelance HubSpot consultant contracted to set up a standard Sales Hub pipeline for a B2B SaaS client. Midway through configuration, the client requested two additional Custom Objects to track enterprise hardware assets alongside complex workflow automation syncing contacts to an external billing API. Recognizing the technical scope expansion, the consultant paused sandbox builds and generated a Change Request Payment Agreement using MicroFreelanceHub. The agreement clearly detailed the added scope, attached a $2,200 flat fee, and extended the final project deployment timeline by seven business days. Attached directly to the document was an upfront payment link. The client reviewed the formal impact, e-signed the agreement, and cleared the payment link immediately. Because the agreement mandated payment before configuration, the consultant safely built the custom objects and webhook triggers without risking uncompensated developer hours or delayed milestone payments for the original setup.
